# Connect an agent over MCP

> Connect one URL. After sign-in, your agent can create, inspect, run, fork and archive Reachpad workspaces as tools.

Part of the reachpad docs: https://reachpad.dev/docs. Rendered page: https://reachpad.dev/docs/mcp. Last checked 2026-08-19.

## Use the hosted server

Add `https://reachpad.dev/mcp` as a remote Streamable HTTP MCP server in your client.

Your client discovers Reachpad's OAuth 2.1 configuration and opens WorkOS sign-in. After you approve access, the client holds the credential. There is no API key or access token to copy into its settings.

## What the agent can do

The MCP tools create, list and inspect workspaces, run commands, fork a workspace from its last save, and archive workspaces you no longer need. A paused workspace resumes when a command needs it.

> Note: The MCP connection acts as your Reachpad account. The same workspace limits and compute balance apply whether you use MCP or the CLI.
